Brigitte Turns 40. Again.

This year I decided to sow messages of life throughout the day. First I treated her to coffee and a reheated, refurbished croissant in bed. Yes, we can reheat old things and make them appear fresh 
Next up I took her for breakfast - to Starbucks. I’ll let you wonder about the message in this for a while.
This was followed to noon show of Rambo. Hoo ha! Of course to remind her of who I used to be - and what I could have looked like if I took steroids in stead of chocolates.
At home, we met up with Angelika and Gabriel - and Gloria. In case you have not met her, Gloria is the only other woman that I truly love. So full of sparkle. Brigitte, her and me often get together to share intimate moments. Oh, I forget, Mutti loves her too but sometimes gives her a headache.
Anyway, bescherung. Thomas, Angelika and Gabriel gave her a pan that skriks for niks. Gabriel passed a “subtle” comment that he would like to see more Italian cooking, and I gave her a set of knives. Very sharp knives. Many of them. I shouldn’t have to sharpen knives for a long long time.
Then off to an Italian restaurant - just to remind her of the crap food served at huge prices in restaurants and that it realy is a great idea to eat at home. If only Gloria would cook . . .
And off to bed to sleep. Sweet dreams my Angel!
Oh - Starbucks? You see, my watch was still on Cabos time and I thought we had at least an hour in hand for breakfast. It was only when I got into the car when I realized my mistake - so I improvised. See - even I can make mistakes - but I know how to recover
And last but not least my dear - next year you will be able to look at this blog to remind yourself of what we did and did not do. Ai - the old memory . . .

Brigitte, baie geluk met jou verjaarsdag.
Dit klink darem of my peetpa probeer het om jou dag baie spesiaal te maak. Ek hoop dit was regtig besonders en dat die gesenkies wat jy mee bederf is regtig jou hart bly maak.
Mis julle. Wens Amerika was nie so ver nie en dat ons almal net ten minste nog eenkeer saam kan Kersfees.
Wilhelm, wat ‘n slim plan om ‘n blog te begin. Miskien sal ons nou meer op datum bly met al die gebeure reg oor die wereld.

I would love to look like you when I turn 40 - especialy again. But even my plastic surgeon has given up on me…
However, miss you all, I heard that they are developing and building an aircraft that will fly between SA and America in 4,5 hours - will be ready to fly in 25 years. Will have to change my plasttic surgeon…..
